Michael P. Nyhan, CPA, MST
Principal
Mike has extensive expertise in tax preparation, developed through years of serving both personal and business clients. His background as a business owner—both franchisee and franchisor—gives him unique, firsthand insight into planning, finance, accounting, and overall business operations beyond his CPA practice. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Mike stays current with tax laws and personally reviews every return that leaves the office.
His specialties include cost containment, budgeting, forecasting, business planning, accounting operations, and franchising.
A graduate of Boston College, Mike earned his Master of Science in Taxation degree from Northeastern University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He is an avid baseball and sports enthusiast, is known for his trademark "Nyhan-isms," and does his best to avoid three-putts on the golf course.
Julie Blaine
Seasonal Office Administrator
Julie has been with MPN for over a decade and greets clients by name as they walk through the door. With her years of experience in the role, Julie is quick, detail oriented and unflappable when it comes to complicated documents and returns.
A graduate of Framingham State University, Julie loves the beach, her dog, her family, and Bruce Springsteen—not necessarily in that order.
Elizabeth Cumberbatch
Office Manager
Liz brings years of project management experience in executive-level offices to her role at MPN. Known for her adaptability, friendly nature and ability to juggle many responsibilities, she ensures every client interaction is efficient, helpful, and friendly—even with the most complex tax projects.
She holds a BFA from MassArt and loves spending time with her family and exploring all things creative—from cooking to writing and everything in between.
Norbert C. Nyhan, Jr., CPA
Founder/Consultant
A proud graduate of Boston College, Norb has held his Massachusetts Certified Public Accountant license since 1967 and founded his own firm in 1972. Over the decades, he has provided exceptional service to clients while building the firm alongside his son, Mike.
As of the 2024 tax season, Norb has retired from preparing individual returns and now enjoys spending time with his longtime supporter and beloved wife, Pat. When winter arrives in New England, he takes great pleasure in reminding us how beautiful the weather is in Florida!
Laurie-Jean Seitz
Seasonal Tax Support
LJ is onboard for the 2024 tax season and has quickly become a valuable member of the team. Her demeanor, initiative and skillset make her a great fit for our fast paced office.
LJ studied at the International School of Management in Germany and has an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from Computer Systems Institute. She loves real German baked goods and new adventures!
Jennifer Strange
Senior Staff Accountant
Jen brings years of experience in corporate financial accounting and bookkeeping to her role at MPN. Whether you are an LLC, sole proprietor or operating with any other business model, Jen has an eye for detail and calm to support all of our business clients with tax preparation, annual reports, bookkeeping and more.
Jen holds her Masters in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and when she isn’t at Nyhan, loves trips to the pet store and nursery to care for her fruit trees and animals.
